Ingredients

8 fluid ounces         Pacific Creamy Butternut Squash Soup

2 ounces                  Part Skim Ricotta Cheese

2 TBS                         High Protein Lactose-Free Skim Milk Powder

8 fluid ounces         Fairlife Lactose-Free High Protein Fat-Free Milk

To taste                    Fresh ground black pepper

To taste                    Ground cardamom

To taste                    Ground cinnamon

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. I use the Blendtec Total Blender but any blender will work.

Heat soup over medium-low heat, stirring constantly to avoid scalding.

Note: if you use any products with chunks, be sure to use a fine sieve to strain the soup before enjoying.

I tried this recipe 3 days post-op (RNY Gastric Bypass) and was able to enjoy 4 ounces over the course of about 20 minutes. It settled well and was nice to have something warm and soothing o my stomach with a different flavor profile than the shakes and waters I’d been having.

Every person is different. Adjust your seasonings according to what you like.

Enjoy in health and nourishment!
